L’Estartit

If you find yourself in L’Estartit, Catalunya, Spain and your are not a fervent diver, you have no car to explore the surroundings, what are you going to do?

Once you have enough of lazying on the beach,  go for a walk along the beach. And you can go far. If you are courageous enough and don’t mind crossing Gol del Ter (that is where the River Ter flows into the sea) you can make it up to Platja de Pals passing in front of the greatest ever camping El Delfin Verde in Torroella de Montgri.

Walking to the other direction you go up the hills behind the village of L’Estartit and you have a great view on this divers’ paradise around the Medes Islands.

But if you are feeling fit enough to walk 30 – 40 minutes on a stoney way up the hill and through the woods put on your trainers and go to the crick (cala) La Calella. Go early in the morning and you will probably have the Cala for yourself once you made it down the hill. Take your goggles, a good book and some water, enjoy the fresh sea, the beautiful fishes and the peace of this little corner of heaven.

Let me know how you liked it.
